There are around 21 million results in Google when searching "Do a lot of Puerto Ricans move to California?", I know this because I just searched while trying to find out how many Puerto Ricans live here. I started playing Volleyball while I was in 1st grade back in Puerto Rico but my family and I have been living and playing club volleyball in California since I was 9 years old. I can't think of a better area to play volleyball and develop as a player.
My name is Mariana Alvarado-Rivera, I’m a junior at Portola High School in Irvine, CA. I will be graduating in 2025 and I am currently playing club for A4 Volley's 17-1's team as a Middle Blocker.
I am still defining in detail what I am looking for in a university but I do know I would want a school with a program that allows me to grow as an athlete, that has a welcoming campus and also addresses my academic goals. I am interested in criminology but still learning more about what other majors may be aligned with my interests.
I look forward to connecting and sharing more about myself and my passion for the game.
