My name is Caitlin Miller
I am currently in my Junior year of high school at Pacific Coast Learning Center in Westminster, California. As a hybrid home-schooler, I have the opportunity to play on a certain school's volleyball team as a home-schooler. Since my freshman year of high school, I have played on the Liberty Christian High School Varsity Volleyball team. Even though I come from smaller schools it has been a great opportunity to be able to still play high school volleyball and I am excited to continue playing high school volleyball into my senior year. In my Junior year, I was awarded 1st Team All-League and All-Tournament Team my team and I also made it to first round cif-ss for the second consecutive year in a row. In my Sophomore year, the team went to its first CIF playoff round in over 9 years, I was 1st Team All-League, All-Tournament Team, and MVP. I was also MVP for my Freshman year and the MVP in my 8th-grade year. Currently, I am playing club volleyball for Goldenwest Volleyball Club in Huntington Beach CA. We just had a recent appearance at the annual Las Vegas Classic and we hope to go to either the Arizona Festival or Summer Soriee in Long Beach at the end of this season. When with my previous team we have made many appearances at National tournaments such as Red Rock, JVA West Coast Cup, and Summer Soiree.
As with my volleyball, I take academics very seriously. I have successfully balanced my personal, academic, and volleyball life while maintaining a GPA of 4.0 while taking honors history and literature, advanced math, and multiple Junior college classes. I am currently taking dual enrollment classes at the local Junior college. When I am not at school or my own volleyball practice I volunteer to help at my mother's middle school or my father's volleyball club, along with volunteering at our local pet shelter.
My goal for college is to be on a great volleyball team with an even greater environment. I am going to major in Kinesiology intending to become an Athletic trainer for a professional sports team one day. My current weighted GPA is a 4.0 so that gives me a good start into getting into college and studying my intended major.
