There are many things in my life that have influenced me. One of them being volleyball and school. Volleyball has shown me to be a good teammate and have great sportsmanship. It has shown me to persevere through the obstacles and challenges that have come my way. Education is something that matters the most to me. I put in most of my time studying and being in school. I am very dedicated to my education and plan to continue that. I became interested in volleyball through my parents. They pushed me to try the sport and I fell in love with it. I’ve learned that I am a fast learner through this sport and work well with others. My goals for high school are to have a 4.0 GPA all four years and earn a scholarship through volleyball or my grades. My goals for college are to continue playing volleyball and also focus on my education. In the end, I would like to be in the medical field. Something I’ve had to overcome is doing online school during the pandemic. It really took a toll on my social life.
Aside from volleyball, I also have other hobbies such as playing the piano, crafting, and volunteering. I believe I am a team player, I love to encourage my teammates and make eachother better, at the end of the day it is a team sport. Some community service work I participate in is feeding the homeless and attending my school meetings. Feeding people who aren’t fortunate enough to have what we have is something I am passionate about because I know that I am doing what I can to help my community. Some of my leadership qualities that I have are helping people grow and learn in a respectful way. My philosophy on my work ethic is to work hard for what you want and it’ll come to you. I would rather earn something than have it handed to me. Throughout elementary school,I have earned many awards such as honor roll and principal's list. These are a reflection of the excellent grades you have received. I’ve also gotten athletic awards for cheerleading. I’ve done All-star cheerleading, gymnastics, and now volleyball. I am very versatile as a student athlete, because I like to discover and try new things. I am a very passionate person about volleyball because I love teamwork and the game itself. It is really my escape from reality.
