Judith Barroso '23 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a senior graduating in 2023. I have been playing volleyball since I was in 6th grade and I immediately fell in love with the adrenaline I got from being on the court. Every year since I have joined the teams in my school and outside in recreation centers. Now in high school I have improved a lot over the years and have now been attending training programs, since it is my goal to play competitively in college. With my academics and athletics I always make sure that I stay balanced and keep my grades above average, which I was able to go above, junior year of my second semester, ending with a 4.16 GPA. I always try my best and challenge myself academically, which I have been doing every year by being in honors and AP classes. Outside of school, since I was 9 years old, I have been participating in my community at my local Catholic Church serving as a lector and as a reader at every Sunday noon mass. I have also contributed by selling to make profit for the Church. Actively participating in my community has helped me gain confidence in public speaking and working with others, which is why I would make a great candidate for your team.
