Hi coaches! My name is Kathleen Crossland but I like to be called Kate. I am from California and currently live in Los Molinos. I've always loved sports. I was on the wrestling team when I was 6 years old. I fell in love with Volleyball when I was in 5th grade and they let me join the middle school volleyball team early. I played Volleyball all through middle school and had amazing experiences. When I was entering into my freshman year an upperclassman Rachel made me believe that I could be as good as her if I worked hard and practiced even harder. I played my first JV Volleyball game the first day of my freshman year. It was such an amazing first year in Volleyball and I received so many new techniques from my coaches and made so many new friends. Later that school year I joined a travel volleyball team named Uptempo. I was able to be on the JV basketball team and Varsity Softball teams also. My Sophmore year was even better. I got recruited to Varsity Volleyball and got to be one of the starting players. I played for a different club team named LMVC where I learned a lot more individualized Libero techniques and also had an amazing season playing Varsity Basketball and Varsity Softball. But my current Junior Volleyball season has been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I am doing the best I can through out this challenging time by having conditioning and lots of family help. I am a hard worker and I've learned something new from each Coach I've had. My greatest goal in life is to graduate high school with a scholarship and attend college with a great sports program and exercise science program.
