Receiving MVP in my freshman year of playing volleyball, twice was such a great honor and it made me love the sport so much more. However in my sophmore year I did not receive MVP and it humbled me. It made me realize that there will be greater players than me, but that made me want to work even harder. This also made me learn more about myself and how important it is to keep my focus and the fire I have about playing volleyball. These moments are what made me learn that I should never expect to be greatness and expecting others to see me as that. I need to work hard for that and even if nobody gives me that recognition, I know I worked hard and having the self recogition is key . Speaking of high school, my academics are very important to me. I wish to end high school career with my GPA at least at a 3.7 or higher, and I have achieved that goal so far. For college I wish to become a nurse either in the emrgency room or in pediatrics. I am a very determined person and very hard working person so I know I will achieve my goal. Apart from all this I think a special characteristic of mine is that I learned to speak Spanish with the help of my mother and father. I think that is a special characteristic because not many can not learn it and I truly think it can take me go further in my career an life. With the determination, effort and focus I have as person, student and athlete, I know I can be sucessful in all areas of my life such as volleyball, my career and more.
