Makayla Hill '22 Recruiting Profile

During freshman year my coaches moved me up to varsity team on our run to the quarter finals of the CIF playoffs, where I contributed in games played. Last year as a sophomore, I was the only setter on our varsity team tat made another run to the CIF playoffs. That year I truly showed my endurance and stamina, having played all 83 sets without sitting out a match. As a young women I am actively engaged in my church and love spending time with my big family. Academically I've maintained a 3.5 or better GPA.  I am determined to balance everything I do in life. In 2018-2019 I played on Rancho Valleys Volleyball Club on the 15's premier team. I was voted the teams MVP. Unfortunately this 2019-2020 club season ended early due to Covid 19, I was able to end it on a positive note, winning our 5 matches in 2 and losing our only match in the finals,  all while running a 5-1  rotation.  We did great that day,  by advancing our club to Division 1 in gold, in SCVA.  In 2020-2021 I played for the 17’s premier team. This year we got our bid to Nationals by winning  the 1st place  gold medal in the USA division at the RedRock wave tournament.  This was sick a great accomplishment for our Rancho team.  My personal greatest athletic  accomplishment was placing top 5 in the State of California in average assist per set among all  sophomores For the class of 2022.  I am a dedicated player who works hard on that court and  I know I would be a great asset to any team.
