Personal Statement

My name is Meghan Noraas, and I am a Senior at Orland High School, graduating in June of 2025. Throughout my life, I have participated in various sports, including volleyball, basketball, softball, soccer, and gymnastics. These sports have allowed me to develop a wide range of skills and become a well-rounded athlete. Physical fitness and being active have always been my passions, and I am interested in pursuing large animal and livestock veterinary medicine with a focus on horses and cattle.

When it comes to college, I am looking for a school that fits my needs both academically and athletically. I want to be part of a community where coaches and peers are genuine, positive, and supportive, helping me become a better player and student.

Scrimmage Play - Play was elevated in team activities. Great understanding of your roles and responsibilities within a team. Physical Abilities - 95 / 100 Explosiveness - Great quickness and explosiveness, especially in the first step or two. This will be an asset in all aspects of the game Agility - Showed good agility. Keep working hard! Passion For The Game - Brings energy to every session that was contagious. Great approach to the game! Coach's Comments Meghan, you brought solid energy for most of the day! You are extremely athletic and very versatile you just have to study your strengths and weaknesses a little better! You still have a year to learn more about yourself as the current athlete that you are before you decide on a college and change into your prime self Learning the game - It is your job as an athlete to learn as much about the game as possible. That means learning the rotations of other positions as well. As I mentioned MBs get moved to the RS very often in college so start getting some reps in over there too Serving to Defense - Make sure you are putting your best foot forward at the back line while serving and getting to your defensive base early so you are able to make great defensive plays by being in the right spot! Resistance to stress & balancing new things - You cannot allow yourself to get flustered when you don’t understand something. Once you are frustrated, your brain shuts down and when your brain shuts down it’s almost impossible to retain important information. Your bounce back game needs to be stronger! That comes with time and experience

By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
