Personal Statement

I love to play volleyball.  I also love playing and competing as a team.   Playing volleyball makes me happy and energetic.  I am looking for a college volleyball experience that allows me to contribute positively to the team and continue to develop and grow as a player.  I am always trying to improve my skills and am coachable. I am also always looking to improve my role in the team and the team itself.  I'm a setter and opposite, but I do what the team needs. I play all six rotations.  I support the team, whether on the court or on the bench!

I am not yet decided on a major, but I want to combine the things that I am good at - art, math, science and robotics.  Right now, I'm leaning towards robotics engineering or mechanical engineering.  I enjoy creating art and have won several awards but am not yet certain how to combine this passion.  I am Team Manager (or captain) of my VEX Robotics Team and we placed 24th at the VEX World Championship in May 2022 after competing at the California State Championship. In 9th grade, my VEX Robotics Team won several awards including  2020 Cal State Championship (San Diego) - Tournament Finalist, and Amaze Award; McBride Tournament - Design Award and Tournament Champion; and ECR Tournament - Design Award.  We also qualified for the World Championships, but it was canceled due to the global pandemic.

I want a challenging academic program that allows me to combine my creativity in an engineering/math/science program that leads to a rewarding career, although I'm still exploring what that will be.

I am looking for a strong academic school that allows me to develop while also playing volleyball.  I do not need financial assistance, although it is welcome.  It is more important to me that the school and program are a good fit for me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
