Holiday Ellis '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello!

I am Holiday Ellis! I am a Senior attending St. Bernard Catholic High School.  I have imagined myself playing in the Olympics since I was a very little girl while watching my older sister play volleyball.  I dreamed of receiving the highest metals for not only my athleticism but for my ability to connect with my team and standing for what is fair for not only my teammates but for all people.  Many times I am asked what sets me apart from other volleyball players and my answer is simply for all people to be treated like human beings regardless of their  background. I think that is what sets me apart from other incredible athletes.  I learned so early that it takes a team to win.  I have been very Blessed to be able to execute directives from all coaches immediately and that comes from years of my mother teaching me the difference between hearing and listening.  I listen and I am present. 

The college I feel that will best meet my needs  would be an institution that has a strong Psychology Program and minor possibly in Cyber Security so I can excel academically just as I am in high school .  I would like to play volleyball at a college/university  where I can feel safe and not be judged by my academic and athletic ability.
