Jeraldy Moreno '20 Recruiting Profile

 My name is Jeraldy Moreno, I am a Junior attending Garey High School. I have played on the Freshman team, as the defensive specialist, and on the Jv team as the libero. I have recently ended this year's club season at Ignite on the 18's National team as the defensive specialist and second libero. My first year of playing club being at Chino Volleyballerz on the 16's team, as well playing the same position. I now currently play in my High School as a defensive specialist on the Varsity team. My strengths as a player consist of taking on roles as a leader when needed, being influential to those around me, working hard, and communicating through struggles I cannot take on myself. Communicating with multiple sources and receiving feedback on how to improve as a player and as a student is important to me. Aspirations of mine are to go through my High School education passing my Honors and AP classes to pursue the Medical Field into becoming a Physical Therapist. My career as a volleyball player as well follows me as an academic student. From playing this sport, I have learned that I am my biggest critic. I at first struggled to keep a positive mentality, this had pushed me away from staying consistent throughout a game.  Playing an important role such as defense throughout a game can be stressing,  although with the motivation and confidence I now strive to put myself through, I manage to get myself up, and put myself in uncomfortable situations to get a good pass and do best for the team.
