Christa Fortner '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello. My name is Christa Fortner. I've been an athlete since I was three years old. I love being physically active. I enjoy a structured lifestyle and pushing my body mentally and physically to achieve personal goals. I believe that discipline is a key factor to becoming successful. I've played club volleyball since the 2017/2018 season. I would be a valuable member of your volleyball team because of my dedication and commitment to the team and the game. I pride myself on being the best athlete I can be and leaving it all on the court. I enjoy surprising coaches with my ability at being an outside despite my height.  My volleyball goal is to continue to work hard at being the best player I can be, so I can play volleyball in college. I want to maximize the time I can have on the court before I enter the work force. After college graduation I want to start my own business as a software engineer, like my father, and hopefully have the opportunity to coach beginner volleyball  players as well. I want to be an inspiration to other girls who are determined to succeed at the game despite their height.
