Morgan Winther '21 Recruiting Profile

I want to go to college to get my Engineering or Architectural Degree.  I would like to specify my studies in Civil Engineering or Architectural Design. I want to be the first person on either side of my family to obtain my Master's degree.  I have a true passion for volleyball and  I have played volleyball for 11 years now. I have played many other sports like soccer and basketball but nothing can compare to the feeling I have out on the court. I am a dedicated player and teammate.  I always cheer up my teammates when we are down and encourage my teammates to pick up their spirit because every play is a new play and nobody should ever give up on the ball. I have always been chosen by my coaches to lead my teams and to make sure everyone has their heads up and plays the game like it is their last. A lot of my teammates have looked my way for reassurance in games and when we have our team huddles I make sure everyone is relaxed and ready to fight back. I hustle on and off the court and I never give up on the ball for any reason. I work super well while being under pressure. I like to take challenges as an opportunity to learn something new and better myself. I feel I am different from other student/athletes because I put more focus on my classes and the classes I take to put me in the right direction going into college. I am good at balancing school and sports and I make sure I have my priorities straight. I always turn my work in on time and I look for ways to improve my scores in each of my classes.
