The sport of volleyball and me playing it was super unexpected and I never really thought that I had wanted to play competitively until the beginning of high school. I started playing the sport pretty late in age, eighth grade to be exact, and when I tried out for my high school team, I was greeted with an exceptional amount of love and passion for the game that I have never experienced or seen before. My freshman year, I played up on the JV team as a starting setter and I genuinely loved the experiences, I loved playing with other girls and having such a strong connection off and on the court. Then I played my first year of club volleyball and wow, I never thought that you could have so much love, sweat, and tears from a simple sport. However, after the three years that I have been playing competitively, I've learned so much about myself with my competitive side and the side of me that really outgrew my anti sociableness and passion. My goals after I graduate high school is to go to college and get a bachelors degree in Sports Medicine, Kinesiology, or Physical Therapy. College to me has always been important because if I were to graduate college, I would be the first in my family to have graduated from high School and college. Relating college to volleyball for me, playing volleyball in college would allow me to further continue my athletic abilities with setting and allow me to create new bonds and a new type of competitiveness and drive for the future.
