Sofia Stemberga '20 Recruiting Profile

Currently I am a Junior at Capuchino High School and have been playing volleyball since the 5th grade.  My first two years on JV, I started as an all around Outside and this year on varsity I started in the Middle position.  I was also voted 1st Team All League for the Peninsula Athletic League's Ocean Division this past season.  I am able to manage my academics and athletics very well maintaining an overall weighted GPA of 3.85, including 3 International Baccalaureate classes as well as participating in Student Council and being a part of Polynesian Club.

For the past 5 years, I have been playing Club volleyball where I have had experience in all 3 front row positions as well as being a DS/all around Outside.  These past two years, I have been team Captain for my club team and am honored to be able to lead the team throughout the season.   My  determination, competitiveness and passion for the sport allows me to succeed with my teammates and further improve my skills both on and off the court.

I would love to continue my volleyball career in college and be able to further my education, on a path to a more rewarding future.
