I've always been athletic and have been blessed with good health and good genes. I was recruited to play Division 1 Volleyball at Saint Peter's University where for the first time in my volleyball career I'm playing as a Middle. I've started every game and have played every minute of every game so far. My best position is outside hitter but I can play most any position. I've played many sports like soccer and basketball and I've played them well. But I truly love volleyball and I'm really good at it. Playing volleyball is one of the many things that makes me happy. The thrill of playing on the court is unlike any other, and I can't imagine not playing in college. I recognize the benefits in working out off the court as doing so has heretofore kept me injury free. I'm strong both mentally and physically and have been told that my best quality is the ability to "gut it out" during challenging games.
I have strong leadership abilities which was a huge benefit as a team captain because that trait has enabled me to be both encouraging and reassuring toward my teammates. I constantly strive to have the kind of attitude that positively affects others because I recognize how things can fall apart when attitudes begin to falter. One of my many aspirations I have is to serve others. I have gone on many short term trips with my church but would like to experience it for a longer time period. Helping others and serving them in a meaningful way is one of the most fulfilling things I've experienced.
I am currently seeking an opportunity playing elsewhere, due to personal preferences and my general unhappiness at this institute. After extensive consideration I have decided to get a release from this program, making my choice to leave definite.
