Kailey McWilliams '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Kailey McWilliams and I am currently a Sophomore at Branham High School in San Jose, California. This is my 2nd year playing for the Bruins Varisty team, this year as a starting six player. I also started my 4th season playing club volleyball.

As a player my goal is to be the best I can be at all times. I enjoy being the voice for my team and helping my team to succeed in anything we do on and off the court. I began playing volleyball at age 10, immediately falling in love with the sport. Since that day I have continued to better myself as a player mentally and physically. Over all I am a very well rounded player. I have played middle for many seasons and transitioned my high school freshmen season, on the varsity team, to be a right side hitter. I enjoy both and would love to play either one at the collegiate level.

There are a lot of things outside of volleyball that correlate with being a great player and leader. Academically I enjoy a challenge. It gives me the tools I need to succeed in my daily life as a student and athlete. I am fortunate to be part of my ASB class/Leadership at Branham High School and experience the role of a leader. I am constantly challenging myself by taking time to train and better myself as a player.

I will continue to excel in school and volleyball so that I can hopefully achieve my goal of playing at the collegiate level. I as a student and player want a college that is going to best suit my goals and priorities. I want to not only find a good program for myself but to also have fun and enjoy the experience. I believe that I am ready to take on the challenge of playing at the next level.
