Dear Coach,

Hi! My name is Hannah, and I'm a freshman in high school. I know it's early, but I'm really serious about playing volleyball in college, and I'm hoping to get on your radar.

This year has been amazing! I was so honored to be named Varsity MVP and team captain. It's been a huge learning experience, and I've loved every minute of it. I'm not just trying to brag, but I really want to show you how much I love this sport and how hard I work. In addition to my high school achievements, I'm also playing 18U club volleyball as a freshman, which has been an incredible challenge and opportunity for growth.

I'm an outside hitter, but I try to be really versatile. I've been told I have a pretty strong serve, and I'm always working on reading the court better. I really enjoy playing defense too, and I'm always diving for those tough digs. And, if needed, I can also set! I'm always practicing to be a well-rounded player.

But more than anything, I love being part of a team. I try to be a positive leader, and I'm always cheering my teammates on. I was even captain of my 8th grade club team, the Starlings 16U, and I learned so much about teamwork and communication. I try to bring that same energy to my high school team.

I know I still have a lot to learn, and I'm super eager to improve. I'm always asking for feedback and trying new drills. I'm really dedicated to getting better every day.

I'm looking for a college where I can grow as a player and as a student. Academics are really important to me too! I want to find a program that pushes me to be the best I can be, both in the gym and in the classroom.
