My name is Athena Kazos and I am currently 17 years old and attending high school in Santa Cruz, California. I have been playing volleyball for five years starting in middle school and continuing into high school. Prior to attending Santa Cruz High, I attended Westmont High School in Campbell, CA (2 years). As a freshman I was a Right-Side and Setter for the JV team and the following year I played on the Varsity team as as an Outside Hitter and Middle. Some accomplishments I’m most proud of include: winning the League Championship and moving onto CCS in 2019 at Westmont, being selected as Most Improved Player for the 2019-2020 season, and making in onto the Westmont Varsity team as a starter with only one year of club experience. I am a very hardworking student and athlete. When I am faced with a task, I will put all of my energy towards that task and will not rest until it is complete. As an athlete, I am very good at taking direction and coaching and putting what I have been taught to action. I work hard on everything I do and always make sure to have an open mind and listen to what others have to say in order to improve my game.
