My name is Madison Mimoun and I am a part of the Santa Monica High School class of 2021 in Santa Monica, CA. I am a relentless player, wherever a coach needs me is where I will go. However, I truly love playing opposite and find myself to be the most successful and in my zone when I am playing there. Currently, I am a right-side/setter for Actyve Volleyball club in Santa Monica. As a player, I am proud to have accomplished earning 3 MVPs on my 15's, 16’s, and again when I played up on the 18's team for my club. I was also named captain for each of those teams. At the 2020 March, Boston Mizuno festival I helped lead my team to first place in the silver category and in the process scored 100% for back one kills. Some qualities that I have brought to my past and current team are not only being a leader with my voice but also with my actions. I have never missed a practice or a match in my career. I have never taken a single play off and I am always the first to arrive and truly the last to leave. I take each play as if it may be my last and I will always carry my team no matter the odds. You can always count on me to bring fire and energy on and off the court for my team. I am called the spark by my coaches because when our team was down. I always lit that fire to get the team going towards victory. As a student, I have a GPA of 3.03 and am unable to take an ACT/SAT due to COVID-19. Some extracurricular activities that I was proud to be a part of were Get2It which focused on getting kids off their phones and out into nature. I also participated in the Soup club where we helped raise money for those in need. I have always enjoyed helping others and hope to continue this path by earning a degree in psychology to pursue my dreams of being a therapist.
