My name is Alex Omaszta, and I am currently a junior at Royal High School in Simi Valley, California. I started playing volleyball when I was about 8 years old. Falling in love with the sport, I started my first year of club volleyball when I was 11 years old. I have played for Westlake Volleyball Club, Rise Volleyball Club, and I am currently playing for LAVA West's 17 Adidas team. I have also finished my third year as a varsity starter and captain for Royal High's Girls' Volleyball. I am highly coachable and a very hard worker who never gives up on challenges that are put in front of me. I have learned to balance time for rigorous classes and club practices. I am a very competitive player and never say no to a challenge. I want to become the best volleyball player that I can be. I am a setter who is capable of running a 5-1 although I am 5'8", and I am a very good defensive player. I also play outside hitter for high school. In addition to indoor volleyball, I have played beach volleyball for 5 years. I have done beach travel for the past three years for Rise Beach Volleyball and Hermosa Beach Volleyball, and it has greatly improved my indoor play. My goal is to find a college that has a strong focus on academic success. I would like to be involved in sports medicine and athletic training in the future.
