My name is Elizalynn Lotu, I am a senior at Silver Valley High in Yermo, California. Volleyball has been in my life since I was born because my father was a club coach for many teams around Texas as I was growing up. I didn't become serious about volleyball until I joined my first club team at 12 years old playing for Saint Clair County Volleyball Club in Missouri. I started off playing on their 18's team as a 12 year old, shortly after I became starting outside hitter for the 17's and 18's team.
For my college goals and aspirations I would like to get a doctoral degree in physical therapy. I hope to keep up my studies and one day work as a physical therapist. I hope to be able to connect to my patients who are doubting their ability to be back on the court or field. I hope to be able to shine light down their path everyone tends to see when having a serious injury.
What makes me a good candidate for your team is that I have dedicated my whole middle and high school years to playing volleyball for the school and club. I know the game inside and out. I am obedient, I have the ability take responsibility for my mistakes and I am always willing to listen and correct what I have done wrong. I know where I stand on a team, I know how to work and listen to others especially coaches. I am a humble person, I am able to stand up for me and my teammates when an opponents ego gets in the way. I am considered a very coachable athlete, I love to be pushed passed my limits to create new ones. And lastly I am a very competitive person, I always want to win, and if that doesn't happen, I push myself harder to make up for that loss.
