Personal Statement

I believe in having a good work ethic and working harder today than yesterday. I also believe in working hard as a team, being a team player, and being “in it to win it.” I put my heart into everything I do, from homework to court work. Anything worth doing is worth doing right. I love facing new challenges that come my way. I enjoy being active. Growing up, I tried a variety of activities and sports. In the 8th grade, I decided to try volleyball and found my passion. While I excelled at each sport and activity I have tried, my focus and long-term goals revolve around volleyball. I love the game. I love being part of a team, having the comradery and support of a team, and encouraging and lifting one another up.

I appreciate criticism from my coaches because if it weren’t for them, I would not learn new techniques and strategies of the game. I value instruction and their trust in me when they put me on the court. In the past three years, I have transitioned from a new player to team captain of my club team and won YHS team (Most Inspirational Player 2019 & 2021,  Citrus Belt 2nd All-League Team Award) and academic awards every year. I feel this is only the beginning and look forward to the future ahead.

I have learned having a good attitude can help you reset and move forward. I have learned to “get back up on the horse” and try again. Having a good attitude not only helps yourself, but it also helps those around you as well. It also helps me to be open to receiving advice from my coaches, instruction from my teachers, and guidance from my parents. I enjoy school and the feeling of achieving good grades. I like the feeling of success. I have good relationships with those around me. I am fortunate to have a very supportive network, who encourages and believes in me. My long-term goals are to become the best volleyball player I can be, excel in school and achieve a college education. I look forward to many years of playing volleyball!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
