Carly Trostel '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches!

My name is Carly Trostel and I am a dedicated student and athlete at Holy Family High School in Broomfield, Colorado with goals of attending a selective academic college and playing volleyball at the collegiate level. I currently maintain at 4.0 g.p.a.  and play varsity volleyball for school and open level volleyball for my club team, The Diff. I also run hurdles and sprints on the varsity track team for my high school. Throughout my volleyball career, I have primarily been a setter, and recently have been transitioned into a defensive specialist role for my club team. I love playing both positions as they are both so different and it has made me a well rounded, versatile player. This fall of 2018, I played on my highly ranked high school varsity team as the primary setter and team captain. We made it to state and took 3rd overall. I finished the season ranked #1 in assists for Colorado 4 A schools with a total of 1034 assists for the season. I also earned the all-region and all conference honorable mention awards.   I would be a great candidate for your college team because I have drive, dedication and determination in everything I do. It has been an honor over the years, to be appointed team captain. I love being that positive, upbeat force on my team that encourages and helps build confidence in teammates on and off the court. I have that "never give up" mentality, I play with grit and passion, I have integrity and a huge heart, and I am mentally tough.
