My name is Mackenzie Westenskow and I am a 5”8 setter from a small town in Summit County Colorado. If there is anything that I have learned from my time as a volleyball player is to obtain a mindset of perseverance no matter the struggles life may throw at you. I guess you could say quitting is not in my vocabulary. I have always kept my head up even when the world comes crashing down. And thanks to the loving family members in my life I have been allowed to take this journey. Togetherness is a big part in my game. A team is like a machine, and if one of the parts is not working it falls apart. Supporting my team on the court and even on the bench is a key factor in my game. I am nowhere near ready for the journey to end. I hope to succeed as a college student-athlete and to take my game to the next level. I am looking to study the field of marine biology and doing my part in saving our ecosystems. I would be thrilled to be selected to a team that embraces the same values and dedication that I possess as an athlete.
