I love playing sports! My parents played and my Dad became a coach and athletic director. Everything from the planning for athletic events to the excitement for competition makes me happy. Volleyball is my favorite sport and one I feel like I'm just getting started with! With our busy lives, I did not play club sports as a young athlete. I did play in rec leagues and when I entered middle school, I played volleyball, basketball and ran track. I enjoyed them all for different reasons, but volleyball is the one I felt the drive to work harder on my skills and the one I have the most fun playing. I weight train to improve skills like my vertical and power. I feel like I have more to give and develop in this sport as I look at my college options. I am a good student who has managed sports year-round and demanding extra-curricular activities that are related to agriculture and involve raising and caring for livestock. Originally, I wanted to pursue a career in agriculture, but have decided that I have much more interest in Exercise Science, with the end goal of being a Strength & Conditioning coach. This is the result of actually seeing results myself in terms of following a program to improve sport performance.
