Tyler Feddema '18 Recruiting Profile

After playing volleyball for several years, one of the most important and vital things I have learned about being both a well-rounded player and person, is the effort and determination put into work. I have displayed this effort as a volleyball player by bringing positive energy and excitement to the court while maintaining a consistent determination for the overall goal. My passion and drive for the sport has allowed me to be selected as team captain for this club season, in which I aspire to show my leadership skills through inspiring hard work. I help bring my teammates up by showing them the importance of working hard in both court training and physical conditioning, as well as emphasizing the importance of process over outcome. In previous club years, being a non starter for a majority of the season, I learned how important it is to work hard for both a position and, in general, where I wanted to be skill-wise. I believe that play time does not determine who the best players are, but who the hardest working players are. I have faith in my ability to work hard in both leadership roles and being a role model for hard work ethic. I am a highly coachable player and welcome input from coaches all the time. I look forward to practice everyday and seek to learn more about ways to improve. Along with this, I am a versatile player and can adapt to almost every position smoothly and am willing to play and execute plays wherever and whenever the coach instructs me to. These past few high school and club seasons I have been called upon to play multiple positions in the front row as well as being a solid performer in the backrow as well.  I am a hardworking and determined leader and I believe that my skills as an outside hitter will allow my team to perform in outstanding ways.
