I found myself to be a quick learner and natural leader on the court. I love everything about volleyball and strive to play in college. I’m left-handed and play as an opp/right side hitter. I have a 4.56 GPA and currently ranked 10 in my junior class out of 780 students. I attend the largest, most diverse high school in Connecticut with approximately 3100 students. I believe the size and diversity of my high school has prepared me well for a diverse college setting and for later life. I am a highly competitive individual in regards to sports and academics, and I also enjoy the opportunity to lead others. I was excited and appreciative to be selected as a Captain for my volleyball team sophomore year and I look forward to setting the best example I could for my team, my school and my family. As a new player my freshman year in 2017, I tried out for a spot on the team with 75 other girls. It was the first time in my life I felt like it may not be a sure thing that I get selected for a team as I was a new player with no experience, however I've always been naturally athletic. There was a lot of competition, but I managed to secure a spot on the team and have absolutely loved it ever since. I'm excited to play and improve with my club team, the CT Stars. I'm looking forward to more opportunities to excel and reach my goal of going to a highly selective college, playing college volleyball, and meeting new people. Thanks for taking the time to read my statement!
