My name is Julianna Corniello and I have been playing club and school volleyball for 5 years. As a Freshman, I was able to play on the varsity team at Sacred Heart Academy. My primary position is outside hitter and I’m a strong defensive player. I currently have a 4.07 GPA and my PSAT 9 score is a 1110.
Currently, I’m involved with the Key Club at SHA and in this club I help the incoming Freshman class become familiar with my high school. For the past two summers I have volunteered at a summer camp and I really enjoy this experience since I love little kids. I participated in the Interact Club in middle school and my favorite part about this club was being able to help others by donating my time and service.
I guess you could say that I enjoy helping others and being involved in my town because I have participated in multiple activities that help the town over the years. This past spring I helped fix up a house in my town for a family that could not afford to repair their house. I really enjoyed this activity because I got a chance to help someone in my community and it also brought the community together. My family and I went around the house painting and cleaning multiple rooms. I also volunteered at a food bank with my mother when I was younger. Our role in this activity was to help families from our town get the food they needed and we also got assigned a family to deliver their food to them. As a junior, I volunteered my time at Habitat for Humanity for a day. I truly enjoy experiences like these because such a small action by donating 1 day of your life, could make a huge impact on others around you.
