Hello! My name is Jenascia Weir. I am currently a graduating senior from Hartford, Connecticut. My academic school is Pathways Academy of Technology and Design and I play sports for Bulkeley High School. After my first year playing high school volleyball as a sophomore, I realized that volleyball has played a big role in my life. I wouldn’t say I was the shy type of person, but volleyball helped me improve my social skills, leadership, self-confidence, and not to mention it has pushed me to always move forward even when times get tough and when things look like they will end in failure.
Being on a team has helped me gain such important relationships, which I will say have definitely played a big role in who I am as a person today. In college, I want to be able to succeed both on and off the court. I am committed to branching off into this new chapter of my life and expanding my talents on the court and at an elite academic institution. My academic goal is to major in nursing to gain knowledge and hands-on experience, and then move on to PA school to fulfill my dream of becoming a Physician Assistant in either general surgery or OBGYN. In the end, I will make sure to cherish every moment and experience I gain to continue to push myself to always be a better person, teammate, and leader.
