Growing up I’ve always known that I wanted to play college sports. I never knew exactly what sport I wanted to play, so in high school I tried everything. I played Softball in my sophomore year and volleyball and basketball in my junior year. I am good at all of them, and though it was my first time playing any of them I learned quickly and started on Junior Varsity and quickly moved up to playing both junior varsity and varsity. The sport that called out to my talent the most was volleyball. From then on I knew that I wanted to and must play volleyball in college/at a higher level. When the volleyball season was over I learned from my coach about club volleyball and took the opportunity to sign up and now I play ‘Husky volleyball’. What makes me a good candidate is that I’m eager and ready to learn and improve on the skills I already possess, I’m easy to coach and learn quickly, I’m always ready to compete and win and I’m strong willed with a kind and jovial personality. I don’t know about other athletes and is probably not that different but my actions, talents and grades speak for me.
