Mia Izquierdo '21 Recruiting Profile

I've always had a passion for volleyball. It started when I was 10 years old. I started playing my freshman year of high school. Once I steeped on the court I knew that it was something I was gonna love doing. I am seen as a leader by my team mates and that inspires me to always to my best when I'm out on the court.  I've always given myself a challenge playing the sport because I dreamt about playing in college since day 1 and I knew that it was going to be a one time opportunity so challenging myself is the start of my future.

I stay focus and concentrated at all times when I'm in the game. I think and move fast at the same time. My serves are consistent and I try to keep them consistent at all time. I encourage everyone to work as a team and as a family. My goal for them is to love what they're doing, to take it serious and to have fun playing because that's the important part. I am a quick leaner and I would say very coachable. I am striving to be one of the best hard working recruits that you've ever seen.
