I started playing volleyball in seventh grade. Unfortunately I developed very bad back problems with diagnosed scoliosis, c2 damage, and bulging disks. I lost some mobility and had a hard time walking and even breathing some days. I went to physical therapy and thankfully made a full recovery and started playing sports again Sophomore year. I discovered an increased love for the game and the energy that it gave me. I worked hard to regain my abilities, and I was able to make varsity and was even given the opportunity to start for my team. Through my experiences with injury I developed levels of grit and perseverance I didn’t know I was capable of. I believe I have plenty of room for growth and would be very grateful to continue my journey at the next level. I am determined to use my work ethic and energy to enhance any environment I am a part of, and I would be thrilled to use these qualities to contribute on a college volleyball team.
