Update November 2022: I was named First Team All-State by the Connecticut High School Coaches Association. I will be participating in the Connecticut Senior All Star Game on November 21, 2022. I was named to the Central Connecticut Conference First Team as well. I ended my senior year with 909 total assists.
People who know me would say that I when I commit myself to something, I give it everything I have. Whether on the volleyball court, in the gym or in the classroom, I always set high expectations for myself. A passion for shared success, a desire to always get better and a team first attitude. This is my commitment to any team I am part of.
As much as I love volleyball, I realize that is only one part of being a student athlete. Academically, I challenge myself just as hard as I do on the court. I take honors level and Advanced Placement courses and currently rank in the top 20% of my High School class.
During my junior year of high school volleyball, my team was very successful. We went 25-6, losing in the semifinals of the Central Connecticut Conference (CCC) playoffs and in quarterfinals of the state tournament. We also won the 2021 Volleyball Hall of Fame Classic in Springfield, MA. I led all setters in the state of Connecticut in total assists. Following the season, I was named to the All Central Connecticut Conference Team, as well as to the Meriden Record Journal (newspaper) team.
I know there is still a lot of hard work to be done. I will continue to push myself, both on the court and in the classroom, to pursue my dream of becoming a collegiate student athlete. On my off days I enjoy working out. I am also employed part time as a swim instructor at our local YMCA.
