Emerson Lane '24 Recruiting Profile

At the age of 11 years old, I was introduced to volleyball and immediately fell in love with the sport. I love that volleyball is an environment that every single girl contributes to. Being able to have the opportunity to play in college is my ultimate dream and goal, that I've been working so hard to accomplish. 

I’m dedicated to my team, the team as a whole is very important to me and making sure it is a positive environment for everyone. I lead by example, giving 100% on and off the court.  My key strengths include court awareness, a powerful swing, and strategic movements in every play. I am also highly coachable and actively seek feedback to continuously improve in every way possible. 

In school I strive to keep my GPA high and target class levels that challenge me. I am an avid member of the class council, student athletic advisory board, and our peer leadership group. I also volunteer to coach youth volleyball, basketball, and baseball and serve as a sports editor for our school newspaper. 

I am hoping to attend a college that offers not only a challenge in the classroom environment, but matches my need to be part of a strong team culture on the court. I aspire to have a positive impact on my teammates, family members, and peers.
