I have always been a fan of watching sports, however, that all changed a year ago; I have never had the thought of joining a team myself. I've always tried- out for them but never was able to make it on the team. That all changed during my junior year of 2021-2022. I was able to try out for the girl's volleyball team and was able to make it to varsity, from there on I knew my life was going to change. No one did say being an athletic student would be easy. I was a rookie at playing the sport; through discipline and dedication, transformed from a varsity long-distance runner to an advanced powerlifter. One of the rewarding parts of this lifestyle is looking back to see how far I've come.
I have the ability and skills of a multifaceted player on the court with my team. Bring the discipline, properly practiced, and include models. I am dedicated, hard-working, and passionate. I am motivated and I play with integrity. when I get on that court I don't think about winning, I think about the passion for the sport. without the passion for the sport, there will be no "win" already set in your mind. Therefore it changes the way how you think when coming to the love of volleyball. Every time during practice I will give it my all, without practice how will you know new techniques. you can't just sit- down and lay around not going to practice that will just prove to yourself that you have the mindset of just giving up or that you believe that you can win without putting in the extra time and effort, within yourself.
With being said I would like to play competitive college volleyball while earning my college degree. I have decided on a major at this time which is sports psychology, I already know education is essential to my future success. This is from having the mindset of misdirection and observing people in their daily lifestyle. My parents truly believe in me and have instilled in me that playing a sport is about more than great athleticism and skill but much more about life…being part of a team, accountability, dedication, hard work, and determination. I am not scared of hard work and I have found a successful balance between family, sports, and academics.
I know it takes hard work, dedication, and passion to be successful at the next level. I believe I would be a great asset to your program
