My name is Adrienne McMillan, class of 2027 opposite hitter. I started playing volleyball at the end of 6th grade and it has become a huge part of my life since then. At first when I had started skills practice, I was nervous I wasn’t going to like it. That changed after a few months, when I completely fell in love with the sport and realized I wanted to play on a team. This upcoming season will be my third year playing club and my passion for the sport has grown every single year. However, club volleyball has also taught me how important it is to balance school and the sport. School is just as important to me as volleyball, and I have been working hard to maintain good grades my entire life. There will be times where I am sitting in the gym trying to finish up the last bit of my homework before practice. I use this same dedication athletically as well. I give 100% of my effort at practice so that I can do the same in games. I am constantly working towards achieving my goals and becoming a better player. I always make sure I am uplifting my teammates on and off the court, as well as listening and being respectful to my coaches. I believe that I will be able to achieve my goal of becoming a collegiate volleyball player and study to get a degree in marine biology.
