Personal Statement

I am a 2020 Outside hitter. I have played for 4 club seasons and 3 high school seasons so far. Some of my accomplishments include Most Valuable Player, Coaches Award and having the honor to be a captain for 4 of those seasons so far. I am very passionate about volleyball and want to play it for as long as I possibly can. I have learned so much from this sport, whether its coming out of my shell and growing into a leader or the hard work ethic. In addition to getting onto the court (and sand) as much as possible, I take my academics really seriously and am constantly trying to challenge myself with AP and honors classes.

While I have been honored with stats awards like most kills and most aces, this isn't what I feel is my greatest accomplishments. What I can tell you is that I'm in love with the sport and all of the teamwork that goes into it. As a player I am constantly putting my teammates needs first. I play for my team. I'm also very coachable. I put in work outside of the gym as much as possible to get my vertical up and get quicker.

While some players break under pressure, I thrive. I want to be the person that my team can depend on during match points or during the middle of the game. All the personal things I have been through has shaped me into the kind of person and player that gives their all to every minute of the game and anything else I do.

Challenging myself at volleyball is one my biggest goals in college, however, I am also aiming to become a veterinarian or a MD. While I am playing for your team I will be working towards my bachelor in pre-medicine or pre-veterinary studies. In high school, I am successfully handling all my classes, homework, volunteering and volleyball. I honestly love what I do and I'm hoping that in college I can challenge myself even more.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
