I, Kayla would love to play volleyball at a college level. It has been a special sport to me because of the friendships, my coach, and the lessons I have learned from this sport. I work hard and enjoy playing volleyball. Everything I do, I do to glorify my God. God has given me the abilities and strength I have to glorify Him in all I do. Even with the sports in high school that I do: volleyball, basketball, and cross country; I make sure to prioritize my academics because all my life my parents have showed me that knowledge cannot be taken away and that it is valuable. My freshman year on varsity as a setter was definitely a challenge, but that only made me want to strive to be a better setter and all around better volleyball player. With hard work I was able to become more comfortable with setting during my freshman season. My coach said she had needed me as a setter and I was definitely up for a challenge because it was position not many liked doing, but I came in wanting to prove that setting is fun to do. With being a setter for three years now, (now my junior year) I have grown so much with my setting and it has only driven my love for volleyball even more.
