Jordan Chapman '19 Recruiting Profile

    I have been playing club volleyball since I was 9 years old. I have been on the varsity team at Osceola Fundamental High School for 3 years now, the first year I set and the second year I played defensive specialist.   This past season as a Junior, I set again.  My sophomore year on varsity we won the district championship and made it to the regional semifinals. I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete when during freshman year while on my high school varsity team, we lost the district championship game. That loss helped me focus on practicing harder and improving all my skills for the game. For the past 2 club seasons I have played for Optimum Volleyball. Last year I played up on the 17's team as outside hitter and played all the way around including back row. This year I am on the Optimum 18's team as setter.  I play volleyball year round. I play club volleyball when the high school season ends as well as beach throughout the entire year. In the summer of 2016 I finished in 7^th overall in 16 open in the SSOVA summer beach series. I am ranked 45^th in the state of Florida out of 421 16U players.  

    I enjoy being a team player and encouraging and helping my teammates to be the best they can as well as the best I can. My goal is to improve my skills every season and opportunity I get. I set for the first 4 years of my volleyball career before switching to outside for 2 years and just recently returned to setting this club season. I also play right side when playing all the way around. My goal for high school is to graduate with honors and as a member of National Honors Society. I want to attend a college where I can major in interior design, architecture, or interior architecture.
