Jaila Dunning '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Jaila Dunning and I am graduating class of 2021.

I didn’t realize the passion I had for volleyball until I started playing, once I first touched the ball it was an instant connection. My favorite thing about playing is the different levels of competition. I love competing, especially when I play teams that are better than mine. It gives me a drive to play up to my full potential and it gives me the opportunity to study them (how they move, how fast they hit, the different  plays they use)

I have been playing varsity volleyball since freshman year. Being put on varsity as a freshman came easy because I play muiltple sports. Being a multi-sport athlete gives me the ability to adjust easily  to new people (new teammates,coaches). In addition to playing volleyball, I also played tennis, cheerleading, flag football and varsity/ aau basketball. While playing these sports I was often awarded mvp and team captain. These experiences have helped me become a well-rounded student athlete. Therefore I want to join a college that pushes me to be the best I can be out on the court!
