Jenna Usry '15 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jenna Usry and I am a 2015 grad from (Atlanta, GA). I am an OH, and I play club on the top U17 team for Cobb Atlanta Volleyball, I also just finished my third year as the starting varsity OH at Allatoona High School (Acworth,GA). I have received Most Improved Player, and Offensive Player of the Year the last two years. We are 3 time region champions, sweet sixteen, and elite eight qualifiers in the post season. I am a captain, I lead my team in kills, and I was also named as a 1st Team All Area player this year, and honorable mention for the All County Team.

             I am known among my teammates for playing with a high level of intensity, leading my team with focus and the determination to win, and bringing a positive energy.  Because of my improvement the last few years and skills learned from my coaches, I want to play volleyball at the highest level possible for myself in college.  I'm open to divisions I, II and III schools in both private and public universities offering strong academics along with athletics.  I would like to pursue degrees in Physical Therapy or Business to possibly go into either of those fields of work.  My passion for volleyball shows because I push myself every day to get better, I will outwork every other player on the court!  I do anything to help my team out, and when I go up to hit, NO ONE is going to touch the ball before it hits the floor.  I'm the kind of player you want on your team because I am versatile, coachable, and I believe in showing no mercy to anyone on the other side of the net, an attitude that cannot be taught.
