Thank you for all of your interest and support as I have been searching for the perfect fit. I have verbally committed to Colorado School of Mines, and I could not be more excited!
I started playing volleyball in 6th grade. By 8th grade, I was in love with the sport. Volleyball and school go together like peanut butter and honey (I'm not a jelly fan). When I look ahead at my college years, I cannot imagine not being in the gym and on the court with a group of girls that I get to call "team." Being a part of a team is one of my favorite parts of volleyball. We are a family--they are always there for me and I am always there for them. Working hard and reaching for the perfect game at a highly competitive level is my goal.
As I think about my future, I want to combine two key interests: helping people and science/math. A career in engineering is the right direction for me. In preparation for college, Lassiter High School has a challenging academic curriculum. I am taking several AP and Honors level courses, and maintaining a weighted GPA of 4.154.
I understand the rigor that will be needed to study engineering and play collegiate volleyball. I love early morning workouts in the gym or weight room to get my day started. My commitment to the team is apparent by the grit displayed on the court. Whether we are serving for the final match point or rallying to stay alive, the game is about heart and teamwork.
