Bentley Braswell '25 Recruiting Profile

I started playing volleyball when I was in sixth grade. I immediately fell in love with it! I was on the middle school team, and while some times were rough in the beginning, I never gave up. I kept working hard all through middle school, including in my free time. When I made the High School Varsity team as the only freshman, I was ecstatic. Not only was it a huge accomplishment for me, but it was so rewarding to see all of my hard work pay off. And now I am looking to work even harder to play in college!

I am a strong leader on and off the court and I am always trying to encourage my teammates and help them whenever they need it. I am a strong server and a consistent setter. I am coachable and ready to work my butt off in every practice. If I don't understand something, I am not shy about asking questions and am ready to take any constructive criticisms because I know that the better I can become, the more I can help my team succeed.

Academics have been a big part of my life since I was young. I am a straight-A student who enjoys academic challenges. I also enjoy volunteering in my community through my school's Interact Club and am looking for more opportunities to serve my school and community as my high school career continues. I am an active member of my church by volunteering in our children's ministry on a weekly basis, volunteering at church summer camps for kids, and going on mission trips in the summer. I also started an online small business (Rebel Boutique)  where I sell apparel, such as t-shirts and sweatshirts, and use a portion of the profits to perform service projects in my community. 

When my ideal college comes to mind, I think of a school that challenges me in the classroom to help me have the best education and allow me to compete in volleyball at the highest level possible for me. I would like to major in Business and would enjoy a large campus. I am so eager about this opportunity to expand for educational, athletic, and social horizons!
