My name is Maira Marsh, and I have a great love for the game of Volleyball. I am 16 years old and stand at 5 ft 10 inches tall. I currently play setter for (Travel Team) Atlanta Performance volleyball (APVB) and also Setter and Outside/ Rightside Hitter for Houston County High School. While still in middle school I played Volleyball two years for Houston County High School Junior Varsity (JV) team. In the past I have played Travel Ball for Keba Phipps Volleyball Association (KPVA), Central Georgia Volleyball Associations (CGVA), and the Inceptors. I also played on several recreational teams. I am currently a Junior in high school. I have a deep desire to continue playing Volleyball at the college level. I want to study in the field of Forensic Science.
I have played several positions from Left/Right side hitter, outside hitter and setter. My best position is Setter and Right side hitter. I love to Set but I also like to score points, and I train just as hard to be a great defensive player. Through all of the experience and knowledge I have gained over the years I'm confident I'm ready for the next level. My dream is to be athletically successful on the court, and academically successful in the classroom both in high school and college. I currently have a 3.8 GPA. I am enrolled in AP Language and AP Psychology. I want to experience college from an athletic perspective and also be a positive impact at my school.
