Lesina Matatumua-Vermeulen '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches,

My name is Lesina and I am 17 years old and a Senior in High School. My goal after High school is to play for a D1 or D2 volleyball team.  If I play for your team I would bring high energy spirits, a great work ethic and I will always work hard academically and athletically to help advance myself for the better of my future. I will do my best to go hard all the time for my team.  I am a reliable person on and off court for my team. 

My first time playing volleyball was in my 8th grade year playing as a middle both for my Middle School and club team Ha’aheo. I played for the 14s for two years with Ha’aheo which helped me develop my skills for volleyball. When I entered my sophomore year in High School I moved clubs to 808 Hale. I made the 16s team and in that season we won 1st in the Ruby bracket at the 16s Premier at Floridas AAU tournament 2021. Then on our second trip, we were able to place 5th in the GJNC Las Vegas tournament 2021. 

My academic aspirations are to become a nurse with a Ph.D. and to later travel while helping others.
