Jessica Kolinski '20 Recruiting Profile

Aloha.  My name is Jessica A. Kolinski.  I am currently 14 years old and am in the tenth grade (2017-2018) at La Pietra Hawaii School for Girls in Honolulu.  I have attended La Pietra since sixth grade and will graduate in the year 2020.  My CGPA is 3.85.  I have been playing volleyball for La Pietra since sixth grade, and began my first year in club volleyball in eight grade (2015).

I have maintained my grades and GPA evenly prioritizing academics and volleyball.  I also do volunteer work with the Huikahi Volleyball Club, such as helping with Matson Beach Cleanups and the annual Honolulu Marathon.  While at school I volunteer in committees that help set up big events and fundraising.  Last year, I was elected to the Student Council as Secretary.  This academic year I have been chosen to participate in the Select Choir for the School (singing is another personal passion).

I always work to give 100% effort and commitment in everything I do, especially on the court.  I try to be the best that I can be all around.  I am a good team player, and when I notice someone is struggling, I help encourage them to keep going and keep the energy up.  My goal is to continue to play volleyball at the collegiate level while studying for a degree in bimolecular science.  I'm looking forward to finding and attending a school that I love while continuing to carry out my passion in playing volleyball.
