My goal after high school is to attend a 4-year college and play volleyball at the collegiate level. I want to major in a science field and become a Medical Doctor. Academically, I strive to be an “A” Student and maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher. On the court, I strive to be a dynamic player and a positive influence on the team. I want to grow both physically and mentally throughout my college volleyball career.
I started volleyball when I was 13 years old. Before finding my passion with volleyball, I was a competitive gymnast and a 3x USA Gymnastics Region 2 Trampoline Champion (Level 7, 8, & 9). I also earned (2) gold medals at the USA Gymnastic Winter Classic Invitationals which gave me the opportunity to compete at the National USA Gymnastics Trampoline & Tumbling Championships where I placed 9th my final year competing. Both sports required a year-round commitment, but I chose to play volleyball because I like that it is a team sport where I could improve my athleticism and grow as a team leader.
I am a setter at heart, but I can adapt to play any position on demand. Currently, I am the setter for my club volleyball team. For high school, I am an all-around player. My freshman year, I was a starter defensive specialist for the JV team. This past high school season, my junior year, I was a captain and a starter libero but switched to a setter towards the end of the season for the Varsity team.
I describe myself as a go-getter and a highly competitive person. Under pressure, I know how to keep my emotions in check, stay focused and play my best at all times. As a team captain, I‘ve learned how to be a positive person, encourage my teammates and be a good listener. I like that I can contribute to my team’s success.
