I am a small-town girl with a global soul. As I search for colleges and my potential career beginnings, I envision myself in a college or university where I find balance in academics, athletics, exploration and self-discovery. My academic goals are in health, social sciences, possibly engineering and to study abroad at some point while making a valuable impact on a successful volleyball team. Volleyball has been a integral part of my life since I was 7 years old.
Over the years, I've learned so many valuable lessons, especially the importance being a good person. Athletics has taught me lessons of commitment, camaraderie, leadership, humility and probably the most important one of overcoming barriers and not giving up. Academics has taught me to expand my knowledge and career horizons. It also gives me the opportunity to explore different studies I'd never thought of (like engineering) and set me up for success in life.
I love being a student-athlete, being a part of a team, learning from others and even from myself, and also getting in some healthy competition. College is the next step for me and I am hopeful of my future.
