Growing up on an island the only thing really to do was play sports. Since I was a little girl my parents signed me up to play baseball, soccer, basketball, hula, and volleyball. The two that caught my interest was basketball and volleyball. I played basketball since I was 9 years old and still continue to play it today. Basketball is my second favorite sport because it's a contact sport that includes a lot of running and explosive movements that come in handy for volleyball. Volleyball is my favorite sport and I started playing when I was 12.
My goal is to play collegiate volleyball. I believe that I can do this because I work hard on and off the court. I communicate well with others, am coachable, and have great focus. I am a smart player and know often where the open spots are on the court. I also have an easy time of reading what the opponents are most likely to do. You will find that I strive to do better each day and will do whatever it takes to get better.
School is important to me because that's what's going to get us far in life. I maintain a 3.5 and want to strive to get a higher GPA my senior year. In class I am very attentive and always ask a lot of questions. I love learning about new things and coming home and teaching it to my younger siblings.
I plan on attending a college that'll push me past my limits. I want to challenge myself in the classroom and on the court. My goal is to make my family proud as well as the people in the community.
